Currently, the world’s tallest residential building is New York’s stunning Central Park Tower, but it is about to lose its record, as developers unveil a 100 stories “hypertower” in Dubai.
Award-winning UAE property developer Binghatti teamed up with luxury jewelry and watch brand Jacob & Co to design the ultra-luxury skyscraper, set to be the “tallest residential construction in the world’.
“The skyscraper will feature the most lavish penthouses at the highest altitude of the hypertower,” the Binghatti Developers’ official Facebook page stated.
Jacob Arabo, Chairman and Creative Director of Jacob & Co, said: ‘Floating on top of the world, they offer boundless views of the city’s skyline, including Downtown and the Dubai Water Canal. Inspired from our high watchmaking collections, these penthouses will consist of three types, each named after our flagship Jacob & Co timepieces Fleurs De Jardin, Astronomia and Billionaire. The interior design of the penthouse collection will be directly inspired by their unique aesthetics. As suggested by the name, the Billionaire Penthouse is the hypertower’s jewel in the crown.”
The very top of the Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences will also have a crown-like structure that resembles diamonds. “We took inspiration from the complex horological movements that beat in Jacob & Co timepieces and we integrated them into the key elements of the tower. The diamond-shaped spires sitting at the peak of the tower are reminiscent of an actual crown, an ornament of unique finesse inspired by the design of Jacob & Co’s finely cut gems,” Muhammad Binghatti, CEO & Head of Architecture of Binghatti stated.
“This is the apex of the luxury narrative in this evocative construction, a signature feature that add further grandeur to the city’s skyline.”Muhammad Binghatti
The building will also feature several luxury amenities, including an infinity pool overlooking downtown Dubai, a gym and a spa with personalized services. For a one-of-a-kind experience, a concierge service will provide à la carte benefits such as babysitting, bodyguards, chauffeurs and private chefs.
Muhammad Binghatti, said: ‘Both our brands are born from the sheer desire to achieve what breaks boundaries. What Binghatti has done in real estate, by creating a brand through a distinct design philosophy and architectural identity is very similar to what Jacob & Co has done in the world of jewellery and horology.”
Currently the tallest building in Dubai is Burj Khalifa which rises 828 metres and contains 163 floors.
